Matthew 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Churches are a great place to learn, reflect, and socialise. They can prepare you spiritually before approaching God, and they guide you in a good spiritual direction during your walk with God.
Praying on your own is a whole new ball game. You pray about what affects you, how others affect you. It's a personal experience that you willingly enter into with God. One to one.
To me, the same holds true for reading the Bible. It's a personal experience. That's why it is as it is. It's for reading. The basic search engines help you to find things, but the main function of the program is to help you to set up a reading environment that is comfortable to use, so that you can Read.
Praise Him.
